Too often clients are exposed to “routine” dental treatment that they may not require, such as fluoride treatment and/or x-rays. We take the time to examine the condition of your mouth and your treatment plan will be designed specifically for your needs. We also carry a variety of toothpastes and oral hygiene products so we can send you home with everything you need to maintain a healthy smile! We carry toothpastes with more natural ingredients and fluoride-free products for anyone who has sensitivities to products or for anyone who is looking for a fluoride-free experience.

Silver Diamine Fluoride:

Silver Diamine Fluoride (SDF). SDF was developed in the 1960’s to manage cavities in children. It combines the anti-bacterial properties of silver ions and the preventative effects of fluoride. It stops the progression of an active cavity (by simply applying it to the area for 1 minute). Although it turns the area dark in colour, it is a fabulous treatment for baby teeth, as we can stop the progression of the cavity without subjecting the child to freezing, drilling and filling! At the clinic, we've also been using SDF on some adult clients in posterior (molar) areas to treat sensitivity and early signs of decay. For more information on this product, click here.
